AN ADELAIDE property agency that has expanded steadily over the past few years has taken its first steps towards establishing a physical presence outside South Australia.
Leedwell, which moved from the CBD to a hi-tech fringe location on Greenhill Rd in 2016, has opened its first interstate office in Melbourne.
The Cremorne office is led by Chris Parry, former national director at CBRE, in partnership with Leedwell founding directors John Savva, Steve Smith and Andrew Zammit.
Leedwell has been in operation since 2009, with the three directors setting up a business that now employs 36 full-time staff.
“We have a proven model working in Adelaide and we’re excited to offer it to our clients on a broader geographic platform, and within the highly-active and ever-growing Melbourne property market,” Mr Smith said.
Mr Parry has worked in the New Zealand and Australian markets for the past 12 years and jumps ship from CBRE, where he was Australian head of large format retail. He was responsible for leasing the iconic Springvale Homemaker Centre (largest homemaker centre in the southern hemisphere), bringing first to market brands to Australia such as Tesla Motors, and transacting major investment sales including the Bendigo Homemaker Centre ($35 million).
“I am thrilled to join the Leedwell fold and to be starting this exciting new venture in Melbourne. The opportunity to develop a more bespoke service for our clients in Melbourne and across the Australian markets has been a desire of mine for a number of years now,” Mr Parry said.
Chris is joined in Melbourne by former CBRE staffers Tom Perkins and Nick Segran, plus Jen Byles, who has relocated from Adelaide’s Leedwell office.
